Cambridge Cognition lists autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as a therapeutic area for the CANTAB battery. The recommended starting battery for ASD research is said to assess the core domains impaired in ASD as well as those likely to be affected by novel interventions, and to be sensitive across the spread of disorder severities and age ranges (childhood, adolescent, and adult ASD). The page claims the tests discriminate neuropsychological differences between ASD and common comorbid conditions such as ADHD and depression, and highlights Spatial Working Memory (SWM) as “highly sensitive to cognitive dysfunction in autism” (citing Steele et al. 2007).
